What a mission-specific team actually needs
Inventors, researchers, operators, university labs, and engineering collaborators are the bench a campaign draws on.

A standing core cannot contain every discipline. When a target is selected, the campaign needs people who already know the measurement, the instrument, or the build. The fit is the prize, not a general call for talent.
The bench changes with the prize. A robotics trial and a computational benchmark do not call for the same people, the same bench, or the same instruments.
A selected campaign may need
01
A technical captain who will own scope and the submission.
02
Specialists in the domain the prize actually tests.
03
A place to prototype: a bench, a shop, a compute environment, or a field site.
04
A way to run the prize’s own validation and write it down.
05
Someone to handle rules, logistics, and reporting so the technical work stays on the technical work.
